if i could give this complete pile of trash three thumbs down---i would. unfortunately, i have only 2 thumbs. this is the worst video i have ever seen. who made this, a blind retard with a cruel sense of humor? and another thing, whoever was narrating this thing is the single most annoying human being on the planet. About 3:20, picture of girls in water. Right side, green top. I think I know her. Trina, works at the Brentwood REI, she thru hiked in 2007. That might just be her.

I contracted Lyme on the North Country Trail in NW PA on a hike this past spring. Antibiotics fixed me up .. no worries.

I got lyme disease on the AT in Vermont. Hiked about 400 miles as the symptoms waxed and waned before i realized it wasn't just beaver fever. I caught it with antibiotics before permanent damage, though. But I was still reeling from it in VA. A lot of people caught it the year I hiked. Sorry about your illness! People should be extra careful in VA-NH, I think. Lots of deer and tiny ticks.
