On 15th March 1938, as German troops entered Austria, Hitler, flaunting his new victory arrived in Linz, the town of his youth; later he arrived in Vienna where he spoke to the cheering crowds.
This well-orchestrated appearance at the Heldenplatz in Vienna is phenomenal to hear as it is broadcast live on shortwave.
The English announcer is William Joyce (aka Lord Haw Haw), who was eventually hanged for treason by the British Crown.
@maggytec it's the "wagramer grenadier march". it is still played in the austrian military to remember the battle of wagram, in which austrian forces inflicted heavy casualties to napoleon. although he won the battle and the war, it was the first time that napoleon had lost many men on a battlefield.

Very interesting! In France, it's the radio station "Radio-Cité" which broadcasted in live the entrance of the German troops in Austria during the first hours of Anschluss.
