Rina Lopez-Bautista, president and founder of Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI), addressing the "Science and Technology for Education" roundtable session at the 59th Annual United Nations (UN) Department of Public Information (DPI) and Nongovernment Organization Conference in New York on September 7, 2006.
"This is our response to the millennium development goal of providing universal access to primary education," Lopez-Bautista said.
In her speech "Carabaos, TV Sets and Brilliant Faces," Lopez-Bautista shared with over 2,000 conference delegates her experience in using science and technology for advancing educational goals through the Knowledge Channel.
