Latest updates: Chen and wife were beaten for releasing this video! ChinaAid has just learned that on the evening of February 8, Chen Guangcheng and his wife were beaten severely by officers from the Public Security Bureau of Linyi and Shuanghou (Chen's hometown).

The violence was inflicted because of the video the couple recorded, which was released yesterday. Chen and his wife were beaten so severely that they are not able to move from their bed, and they were denied the right to go to the hospital for medical care.

The Chinese government is afraid, it knows it cannot continue forever the oppression of it's people. they like to keep the people illiterate and uneducated so they can keep control. it is a country of closed markets bribes and corruption. it is the governments utter disregard and incompetence that stops China from properly developing.as a nation pure evil and greed controlled by the minority.

Most Chinese are indeed friendly. my family are Chinese and I also have many good Chinese friends too. but I am an open speaking person and I hate tyranny and corruption. People like Cheng Guangcheng and many others who have suffered been murdered and persecuted will never be forgotten . they are a TRUE inspiration to the DECENT and GOOD people. of China. The greedy and corrupt can never take riches to the grave. Martyrs live on forever. but not so the evil corrupt dictators and henchmen.

p.s don't judge the people of china, judge the government and its loyal followers. i know that not all westerners are racist or prejudice, but those who are tend to see the chinese as "communists". but most actually want change, but its really hard to do when you can actually get killed, along with family and friends if you tried to do so. if people can understand that not all germans of today are nazis from world war 2, then they should understand not all chinese believe in communism

china, because of its capitalist economy, has so much money. they had so much money that they payed off america's debt whilst they leave those in the country side or rural neighbours without food, shelter or water. the government just cares about power and ego since the cold war. if they really cared they wouldn't be taking away "basic" human rights from their OWN people.

the way that government has redefined communism is just disgusting, communism in china is a way to disguise dictatorship. i know that history has its ugliness, but what bothers me the most is that the chinese government gives no respect to its citizens by the lack of human rights they have. its the principle behind it all, respect. that is the reason why they blocked, youtube, facebook and the media. you can't even google or learn about the massacre of tianmen, only the fabricated versions.

communism has never really worked for the people..the great leap forward, the cultural revolution was in fact the great leap backwards. Capitalism Changed China and there were those that ruthlessly exploited it and used it to ruthlessly use the huge reserves of cheap labor to make fortunes. while most of the ordinary Chinese people suffer. they are happy to see an unending transition that only serves to keep the Chinese people under control while greedy pigs get fat.
