  • Holy Cow, that was the 1st transistor radio I got! Can't remember the year but I'm 57 now. Cosmic!

I married Bobby (he was 21) when I was just over 16 & loved Lee Michaels music already. When Bobby ran off with my best friend 4 years later ( a note was left saying they had gone to the liquor store but they really went back east to pick up her inheiritance), I kinda related to this song a bit.

I met the man of my dreams & have been wed to him over 30 years. Destiny, YES!

  • TRANSISTORradio...I wanted to tell you how much I loved Bob's Big Boy, too. I used to cruise there on Whittier Bl. & although I didn't know it at the time, my honey (the one I've been married to 31 years now) was cruising there then, as well. Oh,, he was doing Bellflower Bl too. Isn't it funny how things happen that are meant to be? You Rock!!

  • I remember this gem of a song coming out of my little turquoise with brown leather case transistor AM radio. I remember it being in hot rotation on Famous 56 WFIL played every hour and a half. It belted out of that speaker the size of the bottom of a Coke can. It rang out with reverb along side of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On, Dramatics Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get, Chicago Beginnings, Jackson 5's Never Can Say Goodbye, Redbone's Maggie & Daddy Dewdrop's Chic-A-Boom just to name a few. 1971 Ahhhh
