Actually, mandriva is one of the more user-friendly distributions. Gentoo, Slackware and Arch are the more nerdy distros.

Lol, shut the fuck up. You obviously don't know what your talking about. Wine is NOT an emulator, like metalero said, and not just games controls how good the OS is either, I may add. Not to mention OpenGL is one of the industry standards, and is expected by alot of people to overtake DirectX. But, yes, alot of games don't work on linux, or work with a lower FPS. But you have to keep in mind I've heard reports of people getting *better* FPS in some games. Just dont talk if you don't think first

I've got CODWAW running in Ubuntu 10.10 (it's hardest to configurate). But, yes: COD4 runs better in GNU/Linux.

@1makermovie Why don't you try the forums or go to IRC, there are so many sources and people that will help you. I think Youtube is not the place to ask for help on this... I myself use Ubuntu for quite some time now and have found the answers on these (Google, Ubuntu Forum, IRC) resources too.
