actually, the original version DID have to do with wolves. You know, people did used to get et. Plus, it's a lot easier to convince kids of the dangers of aminals wut gonna eat 'em than it is to break the realities of hostile folk to them, especially when it's totally outside of their experience. Though if it makes you feel any better, the wolf does rape her and grams first. :P
And that's the point I'm making. The wolf is meant to be an allegory to human predators. Although folklore is full of wolves attacking people, they aren't that much a danger unprovoked. Frankly, I doubt there are that many, if any incidents of wolves eating people. Yet this is used to justify exterminating them. Now, stray dogs that might be part wolf, that's a different story...
Forgive the excess, but I do live in a "Rural" area. Whoa-boy, people really get incensed on the "Wolf" issue, it's worse than Abortion. At the same time, they ignore packs of stray dogs running around and contribute to the problem by buying huge, vicious dogs and then when they get extra pups not having the heart to kill them and just abandoning them. They want every wolf exterminated, but just laugh at packs of wild mongrels rummaging around in the trash and looking at the cows...
she looks a lot like link, from the legend of zelda. hehe... Its a nice animation, very well done !! and the representation of the wolf makes us think it could just be her imagination.
Very interesting style of animation. Seems like it goes back and forth between being hand drawn and computer animated, but done so in a way that it makes better than is it had been one or the other.
