@crazydavedisco What I meant was in the context of this clip alone. Hayes was way cooler here

@crazydavedisco - orchestral backing was the bomb back in the day, I sure do miss the sax in songs...except for Mr. Saxobeat...lol

@GusdeShazbit You can't beat the sound of a Swiss mountain horn! Seriously though, how many times do you see bands performing in video's where you don't even see the people playing some of the instruments that are obviously in the mix. Abba are a great example of this, you only ever see the four of them, never the lead guitarist, bassist, or the drummer or anybody else for that matter. I must agree though, It would be nice to have more authenticity in these productions.

@ozoneocean I think you missing something here. Isaac Hayes only sung the theme song in the original film. The part of John Shaft in the film was played by actor Richard Roundtree!

@crazydavedisco Never thought of it like that. In that case, any visual would be acceptable then. Let's have shots of a dude playing a Swiss mountain horn in the desert then. Cause in the desert, you can remember your name, but there ain't no one for to give you Rogaine. Wah wah? Who caaaares. As you can read, I disagree. But I like that you responded. Peace.

@GusdeShazbit Hardly an issue, considering this isn't the original version of the song anyway!

Anyone else notice that the guitar player in the video isn't playing a wah wah? A minor omission? Don't think so: the song is almost completely built on the sound of the wah wah pedal groove. HELLO HERR DIREKTOR! WAKE UUUUUUUUP!
