@WolYou i think its more than just getting rich. it's striving to have more because more implies that we have a more comfortable life. everyone, regardless if they are western, asian, african, whatever, gets taught as kids that we need to study hard, why? cause we'll get good jobs to provide for our families and give them comfortable lives. we can't deny developing countries the right to what a middle class european teen can have.sustainability is important, so is access to things for all

@leerarudee Ok! Thats what im talking about. Wait a minute....who gives a fuck!!

That's right, factories such as corn oil, soya oil, trans fat and so on.
So one question remains, WHERE HAVE YOU LEARNED HYPOCRISY!

agree. the rich classes in the west are little aristocratic marie antoinettes running around powdering their faces and pretending everything is alright as long as they can buy some more and have a bigger shinier car next year. braindead mass consuming morons glued to their telvision sets.

borncoza: Also very well stated. But this isnt a western phenomena. All people want to get rich. Thats the problem. The fisherman wouldnt complain if he'd get half a million euro for leaving the forest. Its all about greed. Dumb, silly and unsustainable. We share this strange autodestruct-behaviour with all living beings on the planet. They all want to be winners. Its just us who have tools to make it real. For a while ;)

gunthaarz: Right. They're only serving the rich shitbags anyway. Thumb up.

you cant blame western society for such things. Its totally irrational. Especially when asian countries are just as if not more guilty in there use of palm oil than anyone.
Just stop and think about what your saying before you rant.
Palm oil is EVERYWHERE in processed foods in our supermarkets, so it means basically that we eat the rainforests everyday, and we seat for our breakfast on chairs made on the extincted Tiger's kingdom trees.
So much for the indonesian crooks, making money because of OUR needs.
West civilisation is eating up the old world to build...A big waste. Bon appetit !!
