  • Is VL-10Li good? For example: for recording parties?

  • @skatemurai VL-10 is not a good light at all. Not bright enough and not dimmable. It also casts a center hot spot and dark corners. Check out HDV-Z96, it's a much better video light.

  • Takyc, thanks for posting these on-camera light tests. The one thing that I'm wondering though is did you do a proper white balance for each light? Not having a proper white balance gives an unfair advantage to the ones that are closer to whatever your WB was set to.

  • @areuter727 I left the camera in auto white balance. You can't manually white balance a 5600K light indoor as things will look correct near the camera. But everything far away will become completely orange.
