I agree. They looked conservative in comparison to the other bands during that era. It annoys me how they get treated as though they started the whole leather and big hair thing.

I don't like this interview. You're too bitchy. Fuck modern fashion.

I miss the "Women of Doom" shirt and the torn jeans. I wonder where they are now……
DEF LEPPARD FTW!!!!!!!!

DUDE,LAY OFF THE 80'S.I THINK THE GRUNGE ROCK BANDS LOOKED JUST AS SILLY,AND YOU KNOW THEY DID WITH THEM FLANNEL SHIRTS,WEARING SHORTS WITH DOC MARTINS.

Yeah I thought they dressed well for the time and I don't think "ya gotta laugh at it". The Historia DVD is freaking awesome. I mean they weren't like a hardcore hair band that put makeup on and dolled up before shows. They just had their ripped jeans, t-shirts, and mullets and such.

@leppfan96 Oh I see... ;-)

love Joe & the boys- what's up with him touching his nose constantly....hmmmm?

laugh at it?...These were the coolest looking and sounding band of the 80's. they created their own sound and had their own style of dress, This interview was very unprofessional and you can tell right off that Joe is going to be uncomfortable with this ameature interview.

They were so cool in the 80's

Thanks for your comment. I grew up in the 80's but I still do not see Leppard as "rocking" any wild hair and outfits. Other "bands" were much much worse. And some of it though was just a sign of the times, but Leppard was not really excessive compared to others. But thanks for your response and clearing up that you did not have any intention of a "dig" at Leppard. It almost seemed as if Joe thought so to when you said that. So thanks for clearing that part up.
" ya gotta laugh at it" What a tool that interviewer is... jeez guy wake up. What they wore was not that crazy, especially compared to others. Give me a break.

Point taken about their clothes not being as crazy as other 80's superstars. But looking through the old videos it brought back a lot of memories of all of the ridiculous styles that were in fashion back then. Def Leppard rocked some seriously wild 80's hair and mullets, and more than a few out-there outfits.
I thought it might be fun to reminisce a bit about some 80's fashion trends - never meant to make a dig at Def Leppard, if that's how it came across.
Thanks for your comment!
