Chen Pan Ling was one of the creators of this form which combines Chen, Wu, Sun, Yang styles. It was created by Chen and other taiji masters for the Central Martial Arts Academy in the late 1930's. There it was called Guo She Taiji. It is now called 99 Taiji in Taiwan by Chen's son and is closely associated with Chen Pan Ling. Wang Shujin learned it from Chen, made some modifications, changed the name of it, and taught it in Japan to, among others, Sato Kinbei.
