Nice video, Pixiepoet. Keep it up! We all appreciate your efforts... GO, GO, RACHEL, GO! Win the AB!!

Looking at her video, I don't get it why some would say Rachel is "slow" or "too wound up" or even "tired" (?!)... Her legs were as bouncy and springy as before the Kentucky Oaks. Her drive for speed is still PHENOMENAL, and you can tell she chafes at the bit while running. If she is a tad slow, its coz Terry is pulling her back so hard. But her 22-sec last furlong says it all: she CAN pull it off again. HOY 2010? YES. No question about it.

@Pasturelands2010, Hi Pasturelands!!! I recognize you from Bloodhorse. Nice to see you on here. I've enjoyed your comments on there, always such a big fan of RA, such enthusiasm. It was hard to see our Champ take 2nd place those races, but she's still a great filly. She carried top wt and according to trainer, wasn't even at 100% yet.

Nice! Thx for posting!

nice video! Very well done.

I look at my calendar everyday to see how close we are to that race. LOL
I can't wait to see Rachel, Zenyatta, and Bambera (a descendant of Seattle Slew and Affirmed) race.
It's going to be awesome, as long as all of them stay healthy throughout.

It seems to me like she's being held back for most of the workout.

she could have gotten more out of this workout if her opponent had been more competitive...
Great job Pixie Poet. There's been a lot of discussion about this workout and it has some Rachel fans worried. What's your take on the workout?

@mvlach77 - Thanks for your comment. In my own opinion, this workout was not bad. She rolled home at an impressive 22 3/5 sec for the final quarter mile. I think Asmussen was most concerned about how uneven her workouts have been (during her workouts, she sometimes goes too fast at the beginning or too slow in the middle), and what a late start she had. (Her first workout was Jan 31).
