USS Deyo DD-989 Norway Feb 1995

this is SHSN Hudson, onboard the deyo 2002-2004... when we went through the suez canal to the Persian Gulf and back, i miss her so much!! Anybody from the deyo, HOOORAH!!!!

i was on board aug02-nov03, part of the decom crew.

I was on board from maine 12/85 until 04/88 I was baby doc Mohr

Was an EW aboard Deyo from August '85 to February '87.

Arrived while Deyo was in Portland Maine (BIW) for overhaul.

The day I left, we were up the river in Charleston taking on weapons.

We spent a lot of time in the Carribean, Gitmo, and Fort Lauderdale.

that ship used to station at Charleston Naval Base before it was closed down

I am a plankowner having served from pre-com in '79 until June of '80. Only time I felt that cold was in the North Atlantic. So sad to hear of her final resting place at the bottom of the same ocean.

i was a signalman there from 91-93  remember the dog piles in ops berthing...and the fire back aft spending 29 days in Nalple italy ugghhhhhh
