Okay reading the comment I made earlie,r I actually sound a bit harsh. But the point still stands. Think LOGICALLY, be wary of anything from Nigeria. I really don't mean to be xenophobic, it's actually very sad to say but most 419 scams come from Nigeria.

He was in >>Nigeria<< you see, straight away this should have been a red flag. Then she says "somethings gotta be wrong, why doesn't he have someone doing this like an accountant" EXACTLY!! Pitty she sent the money before her brain started thinking logically.

Fake user profiles should be exposed! For example, the user "Jollily" on OkCupid who recently (up until a few days ago) used a fake photograph of an attractive woman in order to lure innocent and trusting men to her. I was one of her victims. she is still active on this site, and still won't use her own photo!! Ladies and gents - watch out for charlatans. They lurk everywhere. ID verification should be standard across the board.

i hate internet romance scam just as much as the next guy, but what did you do to make up for helping your Nigerian lover?

You have to use common sense because you can get scam online as well as offline. Never give money to someone who you never met.
