Gibson Melody Maker: 1967 vs 2007

They both sound great, love the 1967's jangle in the beginning, but the inherent resonance of the 2007 contributes to the unique sound that no other guitar can do. The Melody Maker truly is a unique sound that many people don't appreciate... most of them spending thousands of dollars and hours trying to replicate classic sounds with Les Pauls and Strats when they should have just gone to the Melody Maker. :)

interessant !
la 67' est la meilleure pour moi...
moins "gling gling", plus de corps, le son parait plus "cohérent", plus "souple" aussi
enfin, dur de mettre des mots sur du son...
beau comparatif en tout cas, merci !

i'v got to admit that old school and vintage are always better than 21 century stuff !!! but .... lets face it ...... Gibson is the BEST ALL THE WAY !!!! all of their guitars have very unique sounds !!! but the Melody Maker is the best of all !!

Great video. I liked the newer one which surprised me. I have the single and double pickup reissue but I tried to fair to both guitars. The newer one sounds fuller,
Both guitars in the video sound great and you play them well.
