  • Judo, Sambo, and wrestling, are very strong in throws and takedowns but weaker in groundfighting and submissions. BJJ is very strong in groundfighting and submissions but weak in throws and takedowns.

  • Hahaha

The Dude in the background haha "Break it!!" What a sports man!

    Peace

  • @perfectsplit I could not say it better than you did

  • maldito triangulo!!!

  • you gusy forget there are bullshit rules. if this was a fight for sheer survival either could win. itys all about technique. the best sambo artists are in the russain army.

  • @perfectsplit Not entirely true. Lighter weight BJj Fighters have weaker takedowns. This is from them mainly having to play guard in the academy and developing amazing guards, but not takedowns. Heavier BJj fighters have great takedowns for the most part. Roger, Jacare, Demian Maia and many more.

  • @perfectsplit I agree.... then in sambo we punch also so that was just BJJ rules.

thing is @2:39 I would have stepped on the neck of the BJJ guy and broke his leg thing, is not sure if there is rule against that or not. Then @3:10 steped over his body and broke that triangle.

  • @pravarokija that's Combat Sambo, in Sport Sambo (which clearly the Sambo guy practices) you don't choke thus you lack choking defense. These rules were BJJ rules (unlimited amount on the ground, chokes allowed, etc). You put this BJJ guy against this same guy BUT with Sport Sambo rules (competition), the right would be over 30 seconds into the match with a total victory throw or DQ for the choke from BJJ guy. Put them both against a Combat Sambo guy, both lose!

  • BJJ is one dimensional (ie good against 1v1) while Judo, Sambo & Wrestling are good for multiple attackers because the point of these arts is to stay on your feet while BJJ's objective is to go on the ground. Sambo & Judo teaches you to throw and then move to the ground where you have seconds to submit someone .. not minutes like you do in a typical BJJ competition. Seriously, think about it ... no one gives you 3 minutes to pull off a kimura in real life. Sambo - street ready

  • @perfectsplit yea but in sambo you can atack with legs and hands like kick box...and that mean that sambo is best.....

  • They have to score more points in bjj for stadup

I'd say a throw you get 4 points and a technical takedown is 3 points

If they do you would see a spike in the takedown in bjj comps.

  • He's clearly a moron, he offers no salient bjj advice but jeers with such catchphrases as "this is you"
