Nick stared at the test and said...
" .. its positive." Nick remained staring at the test.
Alex went to go sit next to nick as tears rolled down her cheek dropping everywhere.
Nick was still staring at the place alex was holding the test up in shock. He was pretty much on the verge of tears as well trying his best to hold them back biting his lower lip.
Alex continued crying. " im pregnant" she managed to say with tears rolling down her face.
Nick stared at alex and just rubbed her back.
They just sat there for hours crying and sitting in the same placed terrified. Nick remained rubbing her back and shooting out lines that he didnt even know were true or not.
" its gonna be okay." He said nervously.
Nick quickly said... " tomorrow morning, i'll take you to the doctos."
" thank you" alex said repeatdly bawling.
Nick woke up to a bright blue morning, with the sunshine peaking through his curtains that lay across his windows.
Nick had remembered what had happened last night, and began to pray that it was just a dream. But unfortunetly it wasn't. He brushed his teeth, got dressed and booked it down the stairs so fast that he didn't have to say anything to his brothers.
Joe : hey nick
Nick didn't answer, he just headed out the door and drove down to Alex's house. Alex ran outside without saying a word to her family either, then headed outside to meet nick.
Nick: how are you feeling?
Alex: alright I guess..
Nick drove up to the health clinic and they sat there in the car silently.
Nick: you ready? Nick said shaking.
Alex: if you are..
Nick and Alex both looked at each other without saying a word. Alex nodded and then they both walked out, shut their doors and began heading into the clinic.
They took a seat in the corner of the room and waited silently for their names to be called.
Nurse: Alex Henderson
They got up from their chairs and walked slowly into the doctors room.
Nurse: Now if you two just sit patiently Dr. Ryerson will be with you in a moment.
Alex: thank you.
The two of them just sat quietly thinking as the doctor walked into the room.
Doctor: ah look who we have here! Alex I haven't seen you in ages!
Alex thinking: well this isn't embarrassing at all.. my old doctor not to mention my mom's best friend is going to test whether i'm pregnant or not .. great.
Alex: I've been okay thanks, and you?
Doctor: awesome. We'll what can I do for you two?
Alex: uh.
Alex gave Nick an alerted stare. Giving him the impression that something was wrong.
Nick looked at her confused.
Alex: Um i was just uh.. birth control pills?
Great. I was asking for the one thing i should've been asking for a long time ago.
Doctor: oh okay. Sure thing. I've got some right here for you.. is that all i can do for you today?
Alex: yep, great thanks. Nice to see you again.
Alex was rushing, and stalling as she was trying to get the hell out of there.
Alex waved goodbye to the doctor and began to race to nicks car.
Nick stopped her.
Nick: what the hell was all that about?
Alex: listen I know, i just couldn't.
Nick: you couldn't? She's a doctor.. thats her JOB!
Alex: she's also my mothers best friend. No way in hell i'm trusting that women !
Nick: so instead you asked for birth control pills?
Alex: what else was i suppose to do !
Nick: okay, well now what.
Alex: i don't know.
Nick: know any other clinic's with doctors that your mother wouldn't be friends with.
Alex: uh we can try the one downtown.
Nick: alright, lets just get this one over with so we can know the truth alright.
Nick drove up to the next clinic and they both headed inside the building and sat in the chairs.
Nurse: Alex Henderson
Alex walked up and followed the nurse into the doctors office.
Nurse : Dr. Micheals will be with you in just a few.
Alex and nick looked at each other.
Nick: Round two.
Alex laughed.
Nick laughed as well. Might as well make the best of it nick thought.
Nick: so you don't recognize the name Micheals do you?
Alex: nope. I don't think so
Nick: haha good.
Doctor: Why hello there, My name is Dr. Micheal's what can i help you two with today?
Alex: uh i think i may be pregnant.
Doctor: you think you may be pregnant. Okay. Lay down here and we'll see what happens.
Alex layed down on the table/ counter top thing covered in a shitload of tissue paper material.
Doctor: alright, give it about 2 minutes and we'll see whether or not you two will be parents.
Just the word parents made me panic.
The doctor left the room leaving me and nick both alone awkwardly waiting.
2 minutes later the doctor walked in.
