This is a Mercury Division Training film introducing the 1966 Comet Cyclone. It has a very 60s cold war plot. Join The Comet East Car Club at www.cometeastcarclub.org
I had a comet just like this , bought new in 66 paid $3,600.00,my first new car. One bad machine had a 390 with a 4 speed.I smoked a lot of chevelles and roadrunners
wish I had it back, what you call the good old days.
My first car was a 66 cyclone gt...copper metalic with cream vinyl hardtop and interior. I loved that automatic transmission that let you shift manually if you wanted to. Got rubber in 1st 2 gears!
Love it!!

I love how the 2 thugs got out in the middle of the road and started hassling the broad and the big daddy...the squares deserved it anyway.

How dare they upstage the 65 comet - Further, they did not promote the dash and guage design which was definitely not as attractive as the 65

Man that was goofy, Entertaining though. I noticed the mis-alignment of the ralley stripe on the right front fender. How dare they.
