i hate pointless discussion on great videos of beautiful music like this, but... I'm pretty sure the Beatles could read sheet music. how else would they orchestrate for songs like Eleanor Rigby?
Well, none of the members of Radiohead read sheet music except Johnny Greenwood. Other greats? Paul Mccartney, infact, all of The Beatles. Jimi Hendrix, y'know, if you consider him great. Many blues musicians, musicians from entirely different cultures. Not to mention the blind, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, anyone? Me thinks you're a bit of an elitist if you discount these. Sheet music still has its place, but is far less relevant since the invention of recording. Music is audio not visual.
the hmm's everytime just drives me crazy..its a surge of emotion withou speaking.... fantastic.... great video... classic lol ..guitar stool and the voice...=)
Name a "great" musician who can't even read a note of music. And it IS important to understanding theory whether or not Thom can actually read music or not. Thom and Radiohead are great at what they do but they are not the best musicians in the world. I love Radiohead's music and all I'm saying is that to be totally well-rounded and learn how to make music it's important.
