you don't need to read music to be a good musician/artist. Unless you are playing for an orchestra and are being paid to replay someone else's music, that would be in their best interest so that they don't stand out if they play the wrong note. If you feel the music and have the natural talent to create your own, that's all you need baby!

i'm a musician and i cant read or write a single note, have been playing guitar/writing songs for about 5 years now, i play all by ear
