Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have lived here over 4 years and love it. You can find the "crappy" side of life everywhere and anywhere. Everyone I know back home in Canada is envious of my life here.... Go figure... So sad people seldom look past initial reactions to the beauty that lies underneath.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! The economy in the USA is so bad and rats are everywhere--so what is to prevent them from setting out some traps and get lots of FREE white meat and pass them as chicken this and that!! And you know people sell DOG MEAT in the United States-they go in white trucks selling "quality beef" when it is DOG MEAT and people gooble it up!

Maybe the part that facinates you is that it's dead?

It's not like someone's gonna pick it up. The cleaners must be taking their usual afternoon nap.
WHY should they notice it?? THEY ROUTINELY EAT RAT--and it looks and tastes exactly like CHICKEN!!!

Actually they do not "routinely" eat rat at all. Some do, especially in rural areas, but it is not like all of China chows down on rat.

RAT meat can pass as chicken. Easily. I'm sure it happens sometimes in the USA, but I'm sure more frequently in China. I've even seen obscene things in Chinese menus such as ox penises and penises from other animals. But in the United states men get off eating bull testicles.

:)
True enough, though more likely to find Rat on the menu here. In the USA it would be called Chicken Stew, or Chef's Surprise!
