Eric Kessler, a teacher at Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas, was surprised on October 30, 2007 with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award for being an outstanding educator. Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley made the surprise announcement in a schoolwide assembly, with dignitaries including Kansas Governor Kathleen Sibelius and Kansas Commissioner of Education Alexa Posny. Seventy-five outstanding educators nationwide were surprised with the Award this fall. For more information, visit www.mff.org
