I went to see him in Derby a few years ago. 7.30 the show started.... 11 40 he finally went off stage. My bum was numb and my belly was hurting with laughing so hard and so long. it was worth every single penny he really gives his all. I have seen so many good comedians over the years but his was without question the most memorable for me. If you go see him you will understand...Brilliant.

@calum769 Saw him at Hull ABC in 1971 (I was 11) and still remembering and laughing now! Missed last bus and train, got taxi home but it was worth it. Mind you, to be fair, Dad paid!

His philosophy about humour is absolutely spot on. You've got to find the humour, even on your bad days; otherwise your mind starts thinking old. Brilliant comedian, one of the last of his generation too.

@CriZzaxXx I'm not surprised why you love Lee Evans, you both have "being a twat" in common. Lee Evans is only hilarious if your 12 years old "hahaha look at this guy he's all sweaty and he's making a pratt out of himself, who cares what jokes he's got look at his face, priceless hahaha that's comedy gold" I bet that's what you sound like, dick. Out of all the funny comedians out there you had to pick one of the worst, he's second on my list after Russell Howard.

More of today's comedian's should take a leaf out of Ken's book - he proves that you don't need to swear and call every name under the sun to get a laugh. I'd be delighted to pay good money to go and see him - he'd be worth every penny.
