California GOP Republican Roy Ashburn has been arrested for DUI after leaving gay bar with another man.

Early Wednesday morning, State Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Calif.) was pulled over and arrested for drunk driving. Sources report that Ashburn -- a fierce opponent of gay rights -- was driving drunk after leaving a gay nightclub; when the officer stopped the STATE ISSUED VEHICLE, there was an unidentified man in the passenger seat of the car.

Details still emerging, items found in search of vehicle: Portable potty chair, several crucifixes, amyl nitrate bottles, cocaine, and bondage equipment.

We wait for further coverage on Fox News.

People like this, they get into positions of power, or have a religious foundation that let's them do whatever they want because they can go to confession anytime, and make it all go away.

Their religious beLIEfs allow them to act out on perverted impulses that they hide deep inside them. It's like putting on a uniform. They become someone else, so they can do whatever you want, molest, arrest, torture, kill with a clear conscience because they believe they are not themselves.

Then, when they are caught, they ask for God's forgiveness. And it makes it all better.

  • The DUI is the issue, it doesn't fking matter where he was prior to the incident, period.

There's no such thing as a gay DUI. Not even a GUI Gay while under the influence.

Bringing up the info about the gay bar is a sad desperate reach for sensationalism ratings.

  • @NoDropLS

Since police are 90% conservative and homophobic, and make it policy to stake out gay bars for patrons leaving in their cars, they finally got one of their own. So I would say yes, it's absolutely sensational.

  • I love the fact that he was caught but I do feel sorry for his kids and wife. I'm surprised he hasn't used the Jesus card yet. Anyone person who is so opposed to an issue or idea is guilty of an internal conflict attached to the issue. Now we know that Ashburn is literally a cock sucker. He looks creepy.

It's like putting on a uniform. They become someone else, so they can do whatever they want; harass, accuse, arrest, molest, torture, kill with a clear conscience because they believe they are not themselves.

Or, doing it for a 'greater good'.

  • So what he's a republican as I know conservatives who are gay but don't like gay marriage. Get over it as the hipocrasy of the left makes me sick. And why did they impound the car? Yet the bigger point here is they impound cars from all kinds of people all the time and all for money as the state of California is full of democrats who spend all the people's money! Read the 4th amendment on safety check points, too. All our rights are being violated...

  • Scott Walker with Tom "Finger Lickin'Good" Reynolds??.

  • This Story is now Diamonds

  • @classicallady

Waiting for Scott Walker's boyfriend to come out.

  • @cacamaymie Ka-ching!

  • This is getting boring now.

  • What's new? Really?

  • @NoDropLS-- When he has a record of opposing Gay rights, it damn well DOES matter that he left a Gay bar with a man in his car, driving drunk while he did it.

  • "Ashburn, a 55-year-old divorced father of four, claimed his 15-year crusade against proposed gay-rights laws in the California statehouse stemmed from his desire to vote the way his constituents wanted."

That would make him a hypocrite.

I know it's sensational, but since he was a crusader against gay rights, his being gay is relevant.
