Quick gaming test on my Windpad 110W to test its APU. Pretty impressive for its form factor.

*Stock SSD with stock OS install (W7 Home x64)
*4GB US version
*No performance tweaks (just indexing and super search off)

  • Great look at gaming on this nifty machine. I'm debating between getting this or the Acer ICONIA W500.

Hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions here..

How does BFBC2 run? Can the SSD be replaced with something larger than 32gb? I've also heard about the "smart tracker", what is that like and what does it do exactly?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @TheDark1105

Well, thats about much games I've tested. Guess I'll find later some more time to try something else. The 32GB SSD stands a little short for this pad if you are thinking about games and more programs.

IT IS upgradable indeed with a mSATA SSD without issues. The smart tracker is a "track pad" just like the Blackberries have (mouse); it is located in the top front right.

    Cheers

  • Imo, a tablet that can both run windows and the mobile os of your choice, that looks decent, runs both well, etc. would satisfy both the average joe and the demanding professional.

  • wondering if this can play skyrim ?

  • So this is a PC wanabe Tablet, what tablet has a vent? lol Anyways, that doest matter, is ok... I wonder if this tablet can has more ram or even be quad-core (as that new prime) but with x86 processors on a tablet....

  • @spencesabo Well what you expect, it is x86 CPU, dual core, 4GB of ram plus discrete GPU... Thats worthed, I mean it wont be logical to have 12 or 18 hours of battery if your device is high end in hardware as a pc and in sofware too having a full os. Also the capability of having other OS that support x86 architecture, which fortunately most of OSes are x86, even the new Android 4.0 (android-x86). Also the battery has 4200mah, much more than other tablets, but since is high end, well less hours

  • @medallish Well is eather that, or buy it with Arm which is the main CPU that most tablets has and it is limited in performace, but pays off in battery life, but you cant play these games on them cuz most Run Android OS or IOS...

  • Awesome tablet, do you think the new ASUS Transformers Prime would beat these one in terms of performance and OS apps it can handle, I mean, it will just have Android OS wich is a mobile, limitated OS compared to a full OS like Windows 7, MacOS or UBUNTU Linux... Probably since is an Arm based CPU tablet, it will be only for Android 3.0 and later for 4.0, even if has 4 cores of 1.3 Ghz, and 1GB, I think I still prefer this one over the Prime.

  • @spencesabo thx.

  • How long the battery can get: gaming, surfing etc?
