Yeah, even in Korea these days they start adding things like weapons. But TRADITIONALLY tae kwon do's philosophy is to use no weapons. And "tae kwon do" literally translates to "way of the fist"

I don't know what kinda Tae Kwon Do this is.... but traditional Korean Tae Kwon Do has no weapons..... is this some kind of modernized american version made to draw in new students or something?

@crusadermavrick Many martial arts schools teach more than just than the traditional art. They add things such as take-downs from Judo or weapons to Taekwondo or Karate programs to help their students become more well-rounded martial artists. At least, I know that's why my school adds some Hapkido, Judo, and weapons to our curriculum. Some schools may do it just to be flashy!
