Max Harper - Brower Youth Award 2002

Max Harper developed a Sustainable Living Theme House at Colorado College to engage students and administrators in environmental sustainability and to build a community epicenter of campus activism. The successful model was adopted by the college and expanded to a dormitory for the following school year. Max also championed the introduction of organic food at the campus cafeteria and a switch to post-consumer recycled paper. "It is my goal to create an environment that not only enriches its members educationally," he said, "but also ethically, preparing them to become healthy, environmentally conscious members of tomorrow's society."
