Hey Father, I am a convert. I came in Easter Vigil April 23, 2011, yeah, so I am fairly new, but I have always in some strange way considered myself Catholic. Meaning, I was already defending the Church before officially becoming Catholic. You have probably heard about some dudes called "Church Fathers"... Very dangerous people for protestants. He-he! After reading some of their writings, I was a gonner.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm a UU and like many protestants was taught to fear and suspect the Catholics...probably not hate them, but be wary. I felt what you have shared is helpful, and basically shows that you are mainly just kind normal people which I would have thought had I not been taught to be prejudiced.

@MiriamSPia Thanks for this very kind comment! There are indeed a lot of misconceptions out there about us priests... blame the media if you must, or those that spread black propaganda early on... and also some priests that gave a bad rep...
