@radionut63 Thanks for that update! Maybe it could be coated with some kind of weather sealing paint. But yeah, rust is an issue outside we have to work around.

Wow, you got some really clear reception with that home-made antenna. Good work. How does it compare to your other antennas?
I was not clear on what you were doing when you said you were "tuning" it or what the DSP is for. I have my license but I'm still a n00b. I might try making an antenna like yours.

@field16 update: DONT USE MIG WELDING WIRE OUTSIDE, IT WELL RUST BIG TIME!! nothing ventured, nothing gained i always say! lol

Nice work.
I use a very similar setup for SWL (Terminated folded dipole and DX 394)
Just one thing I hope you waterproofed your coax so it does not get ruined by the rain or humidity.
