Legendary Adelaide garage / pop / punk band The Dagoes on Music Express c. 1981, the same year this single was released. For current details of the band and its history, see www.metalmachinemusic.com.au

This is probably the only clip ever made of the Dagoes, though I'd like to be proved wrong.

  • A classic Tune, Great Tune and a Great BAND ;- Thank-You for sharing. I was there at the Gigs, fun times listening to magic Tunes

  • a bit more than 10 years on aye...grey has turned to white...great stuff...excellent taste...massive style

  • I met Dick Dago and Lily Pointless (not seen here) at Adelaide Uni once. They were wicked and wonderful. Can anyone see the resemblance to Mr Hutchence?

  • @RBDSB

It's just been re-recorded for the new Album "Oh No". You've got fantastic taste if you like this, a cut above i'd say!

  • 3million views - Lady Gaga, Bad Romance.....

900 views, Dagoes, Ten Years On......

I know which song will last longer, and will still sound as great as it does, even another 10yrs on.

Umm, not sure what this really says about taste (mine or anybody elses!)

  • I was around back in those days and I think you are right. This was the only "clip" of the Dagoes made back then. Thanks heaps for posting. I remember seeing it at the time, but haven't seen since.

  • Lucy Potter, beautiful and talented!

Dick sort of an elegant version of Chris Bailey, and Doug looking like Ned Flanders.

  • Great!!! I first heard these guys on Triple M Community Radio in Adelaide (Now Three D Radio 93.7fm)

  • The Dagoes are in the process of recording their new album (maybe called "Oh No" as follow up to "Oh Yeah") at Sodypop studios here in Adelaide. 13 tracks. (including to cover versions - Roky Erickson's "White Faces" and Roger McGuinn's "Rock'n'roll time").

  • The Burns Flyte guitar was owned and played by Neil Perryman (Tony Rome) the main songwriter in the band. He sold it years ago for next to nothing. Marc Bolan had one at some stage. I have live footage of the band and there is a dvd documentary that comes with the album "Oh Yeah" which is out now. I'll be uploading Spikes videos (4) a Mad Turks video and a Lizard Train video when I get time.
