Puerto Andratx (Andraitx) and the town of Andratx are situated in the far south west corner of Mallorca in the municipality of Andratx which has over 7,000 inhabitants.

With magnificent mountains either side of the port, Andratx has become one of the most sought after areas to live in Mallorca, attracting celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer.

The Port of Andratx was originally a small fishing village. Although there are still local fishermen the area is a popular resort with a large marina.

It is not your typical tourist resort due to the lack of beaches. Ses Bassetes beach, only 30m long, is between the prom and the pier.

Also, there are only 3 Hotels and an Apart-Hotel. It attracts visitors by the coach loads because of its numerous bars and restaurants and the wonderful scenic mountainous backdrops and the warm, quaint ambiance.
