This is just a quick clip of me testing out the piezo on a music man jp6.

Here's a clip I recorded with the Bridge Pickup (D-Sonic): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0ufGBRiYUE&fmt=18

And here's a clip I recorded with the neck pickup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1tF-97xYXU&fmt=18

  • Beautiful composition. I had to learn it, is it yours? The B minor with the A flat bass note is interesting, I hadn't tried that one before. Also, the peizo sounds amazing. Nice job.

  • @snakewheels Nope, this is a part from "Finally Free" by Dream Theater. Thanks for the comment!

  • Wow your Piezo tone sounds so clear, how did you make your Piezo sound like that? I have the JP6 in Mystic Dream finish with the Piezo but i can't get it to sound as clear as that. I noticed the little blerp that said your Piezo setting is set to full bass and treble but when i set mine like that, the notes have this ugly cling sound to them when i play, especially if i strum a chord or play harder on the strings. Did you have that same problem? Where do you have the mix pot set at?

  • If I strum too hard, I get that awful "cling" sound when I play it through my Spider II. It sounds great through my buddy's Marshall JVM though. I think it just depends on the amp.

  • Hey man great sound, quick question though: I played one of these guitars recently, the JPx, and while testing out the piezo on it i had some concerns. I noticed that when ever I tried to strum harder like u would on an acoustic, or come off of a lick and kinda accent the last note, it would make a loud almost popping sound through the amp. So is this something you can only play lightly? It seems like u have to approach the playing less agressively than you would on an acoustic, right?

  • Yeah, I think it just depends on the amp. I get awful "popping" sounds when I play it on my Spider II, but it sounds great through my buddy's Marshall JVM.

  • How did you record this? Direct input or did you record it with a mic (amp)?

  • these guitars are meant to run the acoustic line through an acoustic amp then it sounds even better BUT this is a pretty sound u r getting man. Did you know you can get a panning volum pedal and have your electric sounds fade and pan to acoustic with your foot it is so cool you can be playing lead and slowly use volum pedal and it fades elec. to acoustic very cool

  • Fantastic tone! XDDD

  • lol I can hear the voiceover.. I hear voices in my head. The war inside my head.

  • has anyone compared the piezo system of the jpm to the parker fly? im curious to know if the fly can match up to this.

  • Wow... Such a beatiful sound...

  • suddenly ii ask myself, is my acoustic guitar acoustiic?

  • If you use the pezio a lot, the LR baggs paracoustic DI box REALLY helps bring out the best in the JP6's pezio system! Check my video response if you wanna hear it.

  • omg
