Wilt's MVP Performance Secures Lakers Place in History; Game 5, 1972 NBA Finals:
"No team had cut as wide a swath through the NBA as the Los Angeles Lakers did in 1972. They won 69 games, including a professional sports record of 33 in a row at one point and had breezed their way to the Finals. The Knicks had some hope before Game 5 as reports had Lakers center Wilt Chamberlain unable to play. But Wilt took an anti-inflammatory injection, and his 24 points and 29 rebounds helped the Lakers win their first title in L.A, with Wilt winning the Finals MVP trophy." - NBA.com

  • I wish I would've seen Wilt played, this man is the second best player ever, if not THE best

  • "Get laid"? I'm not sure about that one. According to your backwards way of thinking that might cause me to end up with congestive heart failure. As for the NBA player discussion; You're the one who brought it up you stupid dyslexic fuck. Did you even read your last response? "I will know more about players who've walked through this league than you will ever." Yeah, that's great you babbling idiot. Fuck off.

  • Better than the flu game for sure. BROKEN HANDS.

  • @yiprye List heights lie moron, the league is just as "short" today as it was when he played. Since 1989 out of the 1,499 NBA draftees with accurate "barefoot" measurements, only TWELVE truly measured "taller" than Wilt Chamberlain, and only THREE were good enough to play - and they were not athletic. Only one draft scrub who didn't make the league had a wider wingspan. Only 1 different scrub had larger hands. So... I guess even in today's game Wilt wouldn't be fair right? Sad story bro :'(

  • @woutakasinistra He was much taller than other Centers, and he just laid the ball in, which was all unfair..

  • @NameCallingIsWeak Chamberlain and Russell were in a class of their own back in their day. Not to mention, Russell and Bird had Red Auerbach in the background building incredible teams around them. Jordan and Chamberlain didn't have that. But you really can't compare different position players, especially from different eras. Each was dominant in their own way. And while Russell had more wins than Wilt, in his honor, Russell said that Wilt was the best he ever saw.

  • R.I.P Wilt 'the stilt' Chamberlain. You were a great basketball player.

  • For a 70's center he's ancient... he's already gone through painful knee surgery, and with a taped up BROKEN HAND the 35 year old Chamberlain refuses to take pain killers to keep his mind sharp. With just one more win the Lakers could win their first title, and it could be Chamberlains last. His 24 points 29 rebounds 8 assists and 8 blocks was LEGENDARY. This should be WAY FUCKING HIGHER than #45, it should be well above Jordan's flu-game... God damn NBA voters are too caught up in the present.

  • @upyours537 if i could, i'd give your comment 1000 thumbs up

  • 100 points, all im gonna say about wilt!
