Learn this easy, five-minute way to make mouthwatering salsa from Charlie and Julie Marquez. The motto "Simple is Better" applies to this family recipe which was handed down to Charlie from his grandfather, Eloy Gonzales. The salsa will become hotter and robust if you let it set for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

2, 15-ounce cans of tomato sauce
3-4 cloves of garlic, peeled but not diced.
5-7 Japanese dried chilies or use arbol chiles
1/2 cup to 1 cup fresh cilantro
2 pinches of salt
Optional: 2 green onions chopped

Instructions:

Step 1: Place the following ingredients into a blender

* 2, 15 ounce cans of tomato sauce
* 5-7 whole dried Japanese chilies
* 2 pinches of salt
* 3-4 peeled, raw cloves of fresh garlic

Step 2: Blend the ingredients

Step 3: Add the cilantro to the blender. Blend time is based on how fine you want the cilantro shredded.

Step 4: Add salsa to bowl

Step 5: Optional: add 2 green onions, diced.
