Thanks ever so much for sharing! What fun indeed to a new Shelby Lynne fan to hear this! :)

Thank you so much for sharing this song! Shelby's been the best for a long time!

This beautiful girl had it from the beginning! If she wanted to be, and if the listening public were able to recognize great music these days, Shelby would be setting the music world on fire!

this song brings back very great memories for me , the last time i heard this was when i was about 10 in 93 , my mom used to play it all the time before she passed

Well just look her up and you will be hooked!! She is a sultry, bluesy, blonde that can sing her butt off! She and her sister, Allison Moorer, are two of the greatest singers wtih the least recognition I have ever heard. Check them out, you will be glad you did!!!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Great job!
I'm an avid LP collector. I love this copy! Mike

I knew of her through this song with George. her sister is another alternative country singer named Allison Moorer.
This song can be found on the 1991 project, FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES, that Epic released prior to George leaving for MCA.
George and Shelby recorded just two songs...this one and the b-side "I Always Get It Right With You" which is featured on George's last project, the "lost" duet collection, BURN YOUR PLAYHOUSE DOWN.
I had never heard this version of this song. Eddie Rabbit had a big hit with it so I heard him first. Eddie was a fabulous singer. George and Shelby do fine with each other and I wonder if they recorded any other songs together. Thank you for posting. - Paula

No, I don't believe so. One of Shelby's original record producers was Billy Sherrill, who also worked with George. And George saw her on Nashville Now and got a hold of her and wanted to work with her. Shelby's first tour was a package where she opened for Ricky Van Shelton. But I don't think they ever recorded any more together. I wish they had. Thanks for stopping by!

I remember when this first came out, how this new 19-year-old country singer had as her debut single a duet with a then-57-year-old legend. And I just knew she wasn't going to be any fly-by-nighter. Anyway, I use my turntable so much, I'm surprised it's held up for so long! BTW, that Swedish blonde lady, her initials wouldn't happen to be AAF, would they? (LOL)
