we have 2 feast which are a little alike

in Noord-Holland we've got 'Sintermaarten'

children will make lanterns and sings songs to get candies, in Noord-Brabant we've got '3 Koningen' (3 Kings) which is actually a Christian religious feast, but they also go around the neigborhood singings songs to collect candy

this year is probably the first year that Halloween is actually celebrated by children in other parts of the country

I heard at the news that some of them went 'Trick or Treating'

I don't know if they wear horror-costumes or also costumes like fairies and princesses
