well in a way, we sort of are. I mean, attractive whether you would like to admit it or not is a huge deciding factor when choosing a mate. Just like strength in men is preferred by women. So over the past 10's of thousands of years, we have been breeding with mates that we believe to be the most healthy, attractive, and higher quality offspring producing people we can find ( hope that last part makes sense...)
