@Thenonameful No facts have been found to explain any sexuality, including heterosexuality. Why genetics is demanded to support or dismiss homosexuality makes no sense to me. Hell, science only recently isolated the mechanisms responsible for skin color.

Since no one can use science to prove that heterosexuality is a choice, how can you proclaim any particular sexuality is a choice?

@nibblerseven I hear the nature vs. nurtue argument all the time in psychology but what everyone is forgetting is that there is a third choice and that is the CHOICE yeah the environment may influence one to be straight through gender roles in the media and in schools, and genetics may give a person feminine characteristics but its what we decide in the end. Your arguments fails because homosexual tendencies do not manifest in the taste buds.

@Thenonameful No, its not a part of our genetics, but is is a part of the end result of how someone was raised. Think about it. We all have likes and dislikes: someone might like, I don't know, ice cream, and another person won't, and then a third person will only eat a particular flavor. However, we do not have a gene for ice cream-loving. It all depends on how we happened to be raised.

@shinznay it is a choice, no scientific facts have come up that say that homosexuality is a part of genetics. If that is not what forces a person to be gay please inform me of what else it might be. The abuse of gays is a fault of the ignorant and uncaring of a human life but it is certainly not the fault of everyone person that does not agree with homosexuals. Quit hiding behind that pathetic argument on how much gays have been abused
