Leeds Met's rugby league side will be bidding for cup glory this weekend as they come up against arch rivals Loughborough in the first round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup this weekend.
Having received a walkover in the preliminary round against St Mary's, Leeds Met will be looking to avenge their 26-22 defeat against Loughborough earlier in the season. The game, which is due to be played at Headingley Campus this Sunday, will kick off at 1.30pm
A total of 65 teams from across the UK are involved in the tournament, which is Rugby League's most historic and prestigious competition, and is the only knock-out tournament of its kind to include teams from all levels of the sport.
Coach Paul Fletcher's side will look to emulate their achievements of the last two years, when they've reached the third round of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the game, Paul said: "This is a really exciting tie with the two top university sides in the country coming up against each other. The boys are looking forward to the challenge and hopefully we can get the result we want on Sunday."
