  • First Tom, now streaming video from IndyCar Race Control - the voice of Indy has been silenced and the sights and sounds have been cut off from fans worldwide.

    RIP streaming video feed...

  • Arriving at the pearly gates...Tom Carnegie. Will he get through? Will he get through?

    Will he get through?

    Saint Peter'sssssssss...ON IT!

Nobody's gonna fill his shoes. Rest In Peace, Mr. Carnegie.

  • RIP Tom Carnegie! The IMS has not been the same without your voice over the pa. I will remeber your amazing voice till the day I die. Thanks for the memories.

  • this is weird, michael jackson dies, then tom carnegie

what the hell's goin on in the world, people???

  • So sad, a true legend of the speedway. RIP Mr Carnegie.

  • R I P Mr. Carnegie...yours was the voice of God wrapped in a body of humility and grace...Thanks for the memories....G

  • Tom had been announcing racing events almost as long as I have lived and will be missed. "Absent from the body home with the Lord".

  • My first 500 in 1997, I attended my first qualifications. Later I got to work on a pit crew for several teams. For years, his voice helped create the magic in the air. I hope nobody ever forgets the memorable cadence of his voice, and how he helped create the legendary aura of the Speedway.

  • I went to IMS for the 1st time with my dad in 1969 and went almost every year for the next 30yrs. for 1st weekend of qualifications and Tom was a big part of it.

    RIP Mr. Carnegie.

  • His voice echoes in our memories of The Speedway.

A pleasant, familiar sound of May.

    Tom
