It sounds like it was very unpleasant experience for him but he was trying to convince himself that it's OK and should laugh about it. If he needs to rationalize and convince himself that what experienced was OK, then it's probably not OK.

I cannot say. I know I would not, but I also know that this is television and there may be a great deal more preparation for this subjects that we are aware that is never shown. The subject I spoke to seemed so upset with his treatment, but laughed it off to me saying, "While under trance I was compelled to yell and scream and act angry--I couldn't help myself. What I wanted to do was laugh about it!"

So no, I would NEVER do the things Powers does, but we don't really see everything.

This clip promo of Peter Powers is actually quite funny and lighthearted. Most of the things I've seen him do are very cruel and mean-spirited. This is a very nice change.
