There are so many different versions of 'Truth' that it can be confusing. However, I believe that peace is the only truth, religion or no religion. Those in power like to use organized religion as a tool to get the masses obeying them. Religion itself is not bad. The holy books themselves are books of symbols which use graphic imagery to show people the right way. The problem is, people take them too literally. Rationality and religion are not exclusive.

I'm perfectly aware of what religion and science "deal with." I commented only to make the point that your view is as extreme as a TERRORIST'S (I can use caps lock too). And in case you didn't notice, religion isn't going away. Be it malignant or benign, we're forced to tolerate it's presence. We're smart if we accept the fact and decide to harmonize. It's the most adaptive solution.
