Shooting the Dog in VS. Duck Hunt!

Yes you can shoot that laughing dog in Duck Hunt! But only in a bonus game found only in the arcade version called VS. Duck Hunt.

The video also include an arcade-exclusive interlude: "Break Time".

It was emulated using MAME which can emulate Nintendo VS. games, and can simulate the light gun using the mouse (or the Wii-mote if you have the appropriate driver.)

this is the source of all that NES frustration. Kids remember shooting the dog in the arcade, but Nintendo changed the game for home release.

While alot of people hate that dog from Duck Hunt, my late grandmother (who died 13 years ago) got a laugh out of that dog.
