100 Yogi's Helping The Rain-forest : All proceeds for the 2010 event will directly benefit Finca Project and its Eco-Entrepreneurship Initiative. Arguabuena was hard hit by the crash of the coffee market in 2001 leaving many without jobs and forcing some to survive by cutting trees for profit. Austinite Mark Franke joined forces with Finca Project to develop and raise funds for the Eco-Entrepreneurship Initiative. This Initiative will help Aguabuena by creating programs designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking among its youth, enabling them to create businesses that will preserve and nurture the local ecology while producing income and social value for the community.
