Audrey is seven months and since she was about six and a half months, we have used a mesh feeder with homemade frozen baby food or actual steamed fruits and vegetables. She hated eating off a spoon and refused...sooo, we do this instead! She loves it!

  • but if you dont teach her how to use a spoon early on you will have issues teaching her later on. happened to a friend on mine. her daughter was never fed from a spoon her first year of life and she is 15 months old and still will not take a spoon or fork to her mouth.

  • @bbz800 You are exactly right! We do give her spoons with food to use and practice with and she will use them, but for the actual substance, we use the mesh feeders. I will hopefully, get another video up. :)

  • Have you/Has she tried Baby Led Weaning?

  • @ETylerJC Well, kind of....I tried a banana and she took HUGE bites. I have also given her pieces of avocado and peaches. She has had some mummums. So yeah, kind of a mix of that and using the mesh feeder. :)

  • @lindzer722 ohhh ok. you didnt explain that in the video thats why i mentioned it :)

  • I just love to watch babies doing BLW. LaneVidsMobile is a great one site for that. Anyway, Audrey is a little doll for sure and that mesh feeder seems to be working very well.
