بدأ الشقب منذ العام 1992 في التحول من مربط خيول عادي إلى منشأة من الطراز العالمي تهتم بتناسل الخيول العربية الاصيلة و مسابقات الجمال التي تقام لها ، وبقي الهدف من البرنامج ثابتاً منذ انطلاقته الا وهو العمل علي انتاج خيول جميلة ورياضية تكون ...مثالاً للنبل و هي الصفة المميزة للنسل العربي. و قد انعكس هذا السعي للتميز من خلال التأثير العالمي لاسطبلات الشقب والتي تضم بين جنباتها ثلاثة خيول تم تناسلها في قطر و حصدت ألقاب بطولات العالم في الجمال : غزال الشقب و العديد الشقب و مروان الشقب.

ويمر الشقب حالياً بتوسعات هامة بعد ان أصبح عضواً في مؤسسة قطر. ولكنه لا يزال مخلصاً لأصوله كمزرعة رائدة للتناسل تعود ملكيتها لصاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى.

@TheCletuus HAHA Have you ever been around him in person? I've always wanted to hear what his temperament is like, because you can tell he thinks highly of himself. But we need more masculine stallions like this; many of the current "fad Arabians" are way to feminine! This guy has bone, machismo and wonderful conformation. Wish I could see him in person. Last I heard his stud fee was over $ 7500.00
