the decoy you would chase would not be a flare...you would want to chase something fast...like a missile. original edit had it chasing a missile.

@ndileonardo Yeah i know. But the point with the editing was that the Migs never saw Airwolf, they only had him on their radar, so the flare was to replace Airwolf on radar so Airwolf could fly away fast.

But anyway, thanks for your comment.

@skywarp82 But the missile would show up on radar for the Migs to chase. The flare wouldn't. The flare would sit in one place on infrared and draw the Migs to one place instead of sending them off on a wild goose chase.

A mission well executed. Good approach, good tactics, a little poor in terms of sending in the old man to the building alone. But there has to be an inherant risk. All in all, good job. Shame these guys didn't head up the Iraq and Afghan tactics.
