Did the Cubs throw the 1918 World Series to Babe Ruth's Red Sox and incite the Black Sox Scandal?
Book called the original Curse by Sean Deveney Foreword by Ken Rosenthal.

kennesaw mountain landis was huge disciplinarian and he thought what he did was right, however by barring the greatest baseball player from his love, was the wrong decision. For a player who was studied for hitting style by Herman "Babe" Ruth and having possibly the strongest arm in baseball history (thrown nearly 400 feet before bouncing, in other words he could throw a HR) he deserves to be remembered correctly and not framed for a series he didn't throw.

Awesome! That'll keep the kid in ya. That's an incredible experience you've shared. You are Lucky, Happy Opening Day from Coors Field Colorado.

What a great song and such a wonderful tribute to Shoeless Joe.

Shoeless Joe Jackson, greatest baseball player of all time. Very well loved by many people. I am not sure if he was racist, but I am sure a few black people liked him. Babe Ruth did not deny that he used Shoeless Joe's swing stance, and Ruth got 714 home runs in his career using that stance. The only thing Jackson did wrong in the Black Sox Scandal was take the money. After he died, there were statues made in his honor. He deserves the Hall of Fame, Ty Cobb can stick it beyond death.
This song plays while the credits roll after the movie Ghost Player.

Sounds like some lawyers from Chicago are looking into the case again. I wish they luck.

If you want to know about somebody, the best way I know, is to ask someone that grew up with the person in question. There is a great book by Joe Thompson, a native of Greenville, SC, where Jackson lived most of his life.
Growing Up With Shoeless Joe The Greatest Natural Player in Baseball History. Its a hardcover book.
