Dodge Ram 1500
2002-06 models
FRONTAL OFFSET TEST

OVERALL EVALUATION: Good
Structure/safety cage Injury measures Restraints/dummy kinematics
Head/neck Chest Leg/foot, left Leg/foot, right
Acceptable Good Good Good Good Acceptable

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.
Test details:

The Dodge Ram 1500 was redesigned for the 2002 model year. DaimlerChrysler, the manufacturer of the Ram 1500, has told the Institute that the 2006 models are sufficiently re-engineered that the the ratings for 2002-05 models will not carry over.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. The driver's seat tipped toward the B-pillar. The dummy rebounded into the seat without its head hitting any stiff structure that could cause injury.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.

  • Just redezghn it for the 2007 model year

  • @nicknick2114 Some are made in the US too. Just educate yourself before you say shit. This test made me feel better about buying a Ram.

  • This test does look a little creepy... lol. But the score was good.

  • WHY would they ruin a perfectly good Ram? Seriously, why?

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON My comment was not in response to anything crash related but rather directed at your shit comment. Again, you produce some hansome turds.

  • @benchn280. As i can see you like Ford Ok, but i do not. Why because just about 2 weeks ago two kids from my town died in a dead on Crash in a 2000 F150 going 35mph and about 4 years ago my friends Uncle died in a head on crash with a 2005 Dodge Dakota going 40mph in his 1999 f150. The guy in the Dakota lived. I am Not that Fond of Ford Vehicles. Me i Like Jeep I Always Have. All i have to Say is Drive safe in your Ford.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON Ive never seen any of your turds before but I have to assume that your turds are much better looking than mine. Mine look like, well, shit.

  • @nicknick2114 are you twelve?, structure rigidity is determined by many factors, including frame design, material technology, costs, and so on, NONE of them being the geographical location where a vehicle assembled, NOT even how qualified the personnel is, plays an important role here, it may be relevant in engines but not structure rigidity lol. Furthermore, a company could spend less in qualified workers and more in R&D and technology.

  • POS, that's what happens when you buy a truck assembled in mexico.

  • omg look at the door...
